My car was repossessed in error. I'm furious, but besides that what can I do?

I car was just repossessed. I called the finance company and they say they have no idea why it was repossessed and it was late so the people who handle repossessions were gone for the day. I called the repossession company and he said my car was on some list to be repossessed. My car payments are current I am not late and I am doing everything correctly per my agreement.
