I missed my court date because i was in the hospital with my sick baby. I called and spoke with my attorney and i was supposed to go down monday and speak with them. i was scheduled for a becch trial. i got a letter in the mail saying that it was now on a different date for a status hearing. i didnt know i had court the first time. i hadnt been at home to check my mail. i am facing 5 misdemeanor charges. what will happen when i go to court??

Be prepared to justify why you weren't in court for the previous hearing. Judges don't like it when people don't show up for the court hearings. On the assumption that the judge buys your reason, you will probably set new dates for actual hearings on the issue. Also be prepared to discuss any settlement offers that may be presented. Personally, if I were you, I would be on the phone with my attorney and discussing this matter with him or her.
