Can I use word "Disney" in the domain name, such as "DisneyToys.com" if I'm selling ONLY Disney licensed toys?

Also, can I use images of Disney characters I'm selling products of? I'm talking using Disney cartoon characters such as Winnie, Ariel, etc, on the website header, for example. After all, I am purchasing Disney licensed products from a legitimate Disney distributor, and I'm sure Disney wants me to sell as many of their products as possible, right? Or not? If not, how do I go about obtaining Disney Enterprise's permission to use word "Disney" in my URL, as well as images of Disney cartoon characters on my website? Thank you, Angella

I doubt they would let you use "Disney" as part of your URL. You can contact their clearance dept., but don't hold out much hope. You can probably use pics of the products, by way of identifying them, with little or no fear. But I would ask the distributor for proof it has permission from Disney--a vending agreement that discusses the distributor's right on copyrights and trademarks. There is a lot of bogus material coming in the country. That agreement may extend some such rights to re-distributors like you. That's where to look first.

You cannot unless you have a license from Disney as a distributor of products which gives you the right to also have a web site. I suspect you are purchasing used or new products from authorized distributors in violation of the distributor's (or retailer's) agreement. If purchasing new products your whole business model is suspect. Contacting the legal department at Disney will be more fruitful than consulting .

Buying a branded product does not entitle you to use their mark in a domain name such as you propose. In particular, the company you mention is very protective and will most likely cause to spend money that you could have use to enjoy life. You want to use their name? Contact the company, although I doubt they will entertain even the though of authorizing its use.
