Will I get PTI?

Let me start by saying I have never been in trouble with the law before and this is my first offense ever. I was recently arrested for drugs/violation drug distribution law, noncontrolled, imitation controlled substance, prohibited act c. I obtained hydrocodone 7.5 a schedule 3 controlled substance by means of forged prescriptions. There are 5 warrants (so I assume 5 charges) and investigator is with SC dehec drug control. She said that she would refer me to the pti program. I know these are felonies and through general sessions court and I have to be referred to pti but if she does refer me will I get pti and also do I need a lawyer (everyone I've talked to in the system police, investigator and a judge said I didn't). Please help. I have to appear at court of general sessions on July 20

I agree that if you haven't been promised you will get PTI (which you haven't based on the fact you are asking if you will get it) you should have an attorney. If you cannot afford to hire an attorney, ask for a public defender. The police and probation are not your friends and not people to take advice from. The judge is interested in getting cases resolved.

You are facing felony charges and have not been guaranteed that you will get PTI... YES, you need a lawyer.

In South Carolina, if you are facing felony charges, you are in general sessions court. It would be wise to seek the assistance of an attorney that has experience in handling criminal matters.
