We had a fight 2 days ago and the police came to arrest him last night at 2:30am. At the time of the incident I made a statement with the officer and told him I wanted him arrested. Since then my boyfriend and I have talked and made up. I realize I said I wanted him arrested but now I want to help him. I don't know how this works, how do I find out what he is sentenced with? How do I find out his court date? And can I bail him out of jail? I'm not sure if this would be a misdemenor or felony. I just want to help him he doesnt belong in there and I want to help him get the help he needs and wants.
Legally, the victim of a crime becomes a witness in the case and it is the state that prosecutes, thus a victim cannot unilaterally "drop the charges." However, prosecutors may listen to the victim's concerns and take them into account. Anyone may bail a defendant out of jail, however there may be no-contact order in place that prohibits the defendant from contacting the victim. Good luck.

First thing you can do is speak to a local criminal defense attorney about your situation by scheduling a consultation. Explain your situation to the attorney who knows the court rules and state statutes that apply so they can advise you accordingly.
In the meantime, try and go to couples counseling together and have him attend anger management classes voluntarily to show he is being proactive by dealing with any potential anger issues head on.
Domestic violence is no joke and will be taken seriously. Whatever you can do to show this arrest at 2:30 am isn't a red flag for something worse would be helpful.
As to the Court Date, the questions you are addressing here as well as bail and the the nature of the charge can all be discussed with a local attorney at the consultation.
Hope that things get taken care of between you and your boyfriend.
There are a number of things you can do, but the most important one at this stage is to hire an experienced attorney who can review the reports, talk to you and him, and try to negotiate with the DA to dismiss, reduce, or not file the charges. I practice regularly out there - feel free to contact my office if you would like to discuss things further. Good luck.
I agree with my colleagues that the best thing you can do at this point is to hire a criminal defense lawyer to represent your boyfriend. The only thing I would add is that it is a really bad idea to talk to him while he is in custody. All jails record phone calls to inmates. As couples reconcile, which you say you have, it is not unusual for these conversations to include things like "I'm sorry", "you made me angry", "I'll never hit you again", etc. All this does is strengthen the prosecutions case. Just a word to the wise. If you'd like a free consultation, feel free to contact me.
The government considers you a witness to this incident and will attempt to contact you in order to make a case against your boyfriend. Whatever you do, do not talk to your boyfriend until this case ends, because the jail personnel records all inmate phone conversations.
Once you hire an attorney, your attorney can call the jail, visit your boyfriend, and figure out what you can do to help from there. Feel free to contact my office for a free consultation.
