A Judge ruled my car was illegally seized for 9 months and to be returned immediately. Do I have a compensatory damages case?

I just received an administrative judge's decision that the TN Dept. of Safety illegally seized my vehicle over 9 months ago as part of a DUI charge that I was not found guilty of.The judge stated that both the decision to seize at the time (the law required 2 DUI convictions) and the continued holding of my car were illegal, and ordered my car to be immediately released to me. I have spent over 9 months fighting this, during which time I have had great difficulty and expense getting to and from work 20 miles away each day, have made 9 $310 payments on a car I haven't seen, have not been able to get it released to my insurance company so they can begin repairs from the wreck, have lost depreciation value in the vehicle, and spent money on an attorney to assist me. Do I have a case?

As you have an attorney in TN, it would be improper for another attorney to offer you advice on this matter. What does you current attorney say about a case?
