Is there any way to enforce the divorce decree stipulations without hiring a lawyer, which I cannot afford?

There were no children of our marriage, but my ex (who filed against me) agreed to roll over a certain amount of money to my IRA, give me title to one of his cars and return my truck which he has on his property, as well as provide me with the rest of my personal items which he was to place in a storage unit for me to retrieve. After 60-plus days, he has done none of this. Is there an agency I can contact for help? The lawyer from my divorce wants the same amount I paid for my divorce, and I don't have that much money left, largely because of this noncompliance.

Enforceing the terms of a divorce decree begins by reviewing the exact language of the decree as to exactly what was ordered. If one party has violated the terms of the decree there will need to be a motion for enforcement filed. This is a complicated matter *since it is an action asking that someone be sent to jail if they don't comply) which would be beyond the ability of most non-lawyers to do for themselves. While it may involve significant expense to enforce the decree, it is the only way that will get done. I would suggest that you get an attorney to represent you in this matter.
