My question is both financial and legal. Where and how can I get some funding to survive until this all happens?

Hello, I am a 61 year old male who due to serious medical issues can not work. I also can not recieve SSDI or welfare. So I'm basically without income for a while. The good news is I have been willed mineral rights to 2900 acres of oil rich property in North Dakota. This is all legal and in order for my share. This however is just now at the point where my oil company is taking out the first permits for drilling on my acerage. There are wells all around my property and they are just now getting to mine. With a potential between 250/750 barrels per day, per well and untold numbers of wells on my property alone. Each well however can take months to develope before I see cash. And I am talking big cash. However I am starving right now.

Talk to a banker about a loan against future royalties. Talk to an attorney about forming an entity (limited partnership perhaps) that lets you retain control but sell some small stake in your future royalties. Talk to your tax advisor about sheltering your future income in the most favorable manner. Why can't you get SSDI?

If you have assets, a bank is more likely to lend to you. 2900 acres seems like a lot of property but I understand this is only the mineral rights. If the oil propects are a sure thing a loan should be possible.
