I was told I must take a Rite Aid purchased drug test in my boss' office after work or be terminated.

I volunteered to take a medical, or professional test, but thought that this was inappropriate and very unprofessional. The company also has no drug test policy in place, so I'm not sure they can legally require a targeted test anyway. I was told that they would schedule a medical test in an Dr.'s office. At the end of the day, I was then told because she couldn't get it scheduled in a Dr.'s office, that I must submit to the home kit there or be let go. I re-fused for multiple reasons. 1st my boss is female I am male, and didn't think she should be administering the test in her office after work 2nd there is no testing policy in place. 3rd I believe I was targeted for my appearance (tatoos). because I refused I was terminated

In general, unless you have an employment contract, employment is "at will" - terminable by either party at any time for any reason or for no reason at all. Exceptions can include termination for an improper purpose like discrimination on the basis of age, race, or gender.
