My boyfriend stayed with me a couple of nights out of the week. I recently found out that over the past couple of months that he has stolen items out of house. The things that I have noticed so far are items such as a car radio system, playstation 2, P2P (handheld gamesystem), and playstation 2 games. I didn't notice the items were gone before because these are not items I play with on a everyday bases. I know what pawn shop he uses most often but what I don't know is what action can I do to get him to return the items or pay for them. I don't have receipts for these items because they were a couple years old and most of them were given to me. Please tell me what I can do and how to go about doing it. I really don't want to ruin his life by getting him arrested. I just want my things

He has to take responsibility for his actions. It won't ruin his life but it'll teach him a thing or two. Report the missing items to the police and identify the pawnshop. After that it is out of your control.

Seems to be me either stole the items or he did not. If you choose not to report the thefts then your options are limited to asking him nicely to reutrn the items or at least give you the pawn tickets so you can get them back. By the way, ask yourself why would he be stealing small items to pawn for pennies on the dollar?
