Can A 16 year old get deported because of parents ?

My friend is 16 years old and dose not have a good relationship with parent at home. She is tiring to get emancipated but her parents told her they will get her deported because she was not born here! She has been in the U.S ever sense she was 9months old and has a social number and goes to school so she has to be legal (I think her parents are using that to scare her into not leaving home). But I do know her mother is re newing her own papers. Is she legal ? And can her parents get her deported to somewhere she has left sense she was 9months old and knows no one ? And if she dose leave home and gets emancipated can she find out how to fix here papers herself with out her parents knowing ?
