My granddaughter was eating her subway sandwich and lord and behold there was a 3-4 inch black centipede with white legs.

She did not eat her sandwich late after getting in from work . Three other members of our family had a takeout from the subway around 6:30 pm. She is traumatized. She ran into the wall and is scared to death now. She had began to eat and then some of the topping fell of and she picked the topping up from the paper and opened up the sandwich to place the dropped topping and there it was..she had bitten into the head. It is a large one. I took time to try to sooth her and calm her down and then got on the internet to determine what I should do. What steps do I take...please...she already has serious issues with insects and bugs....

This is a very difficult claim. I suggest you speak with the store manager and call the local health department.

you might want to talk to the manager of the store. It sounds like the sandwhich was out of the store and uneaten for some period of time. Its going to be tough to prove where the insect came from. That's going to be something you would have to prove in court. Different states have different rules about collecting damages for purely "fright" damages. You may want to consult with an attorney in your area.. you might also just try to get some coupons from the Subway store for some free sandwhiches

There is no viable claim as you cannot prove where the insect came from.

Ask for some free sandwiches. This isn't worth suing over!
