If I was to expunge a wet reckless charge would I be able to apply as a porter for high end cars?

I was originally charged with a DUI but I was able to reduce it down to a wet reckless. I finished the classes already and currently paying the court fees. I have my license back and have no restrictions. I currently work for an independent company who wont allow me to drive their cars because their insurance wont allow it. I am their mechanic and porter at times but now have been just working on the cars. But even as the mechanic I still need to test drive them.

There is no true expungement in CA. The best you can do is have the conviction dismissed, under penal code section 1203.4. However, having the conviction dismissed will not likely change anything with the insurance company. Sorry for the bad news. Best of luck to you.
I agree with Mr. Pullman. One thing I would mention though is that having the case dismissed and therefore removed from your criminal record will be beneficial in the long run. Mr. Pullman can explain this to you further as I am not licensed in CA.
Even if you get a dismissal under Penal Code 1203.4 (commonly called an expungement), it will not be removed from your criminal history. It just adds a notation that it was subsequently dismissed.
The other problem is that a 1203.4 dismissal won't do anything to your DMV records - something the company will surely look at.
