What does "Dismissed or Not Prosecuted" mean on a criminal record?

I was charged with vandalism in October of 2011. I was charged with 2 counts. The 1st one says Guilty/Convicted 594(A). The other says "Dismissed or Not Prosecuted"594(A).. My question is what exactly does "Dismissed or Not Prosecuted". This might be a stupid question but I know courts and lawyers have there own ways of defining stuff :)

Just means that you were charged, but the prosecutor elected not to proceed or that you won without a trial (by getting the charges dismissed).
