I got into an accident with a few parked cars and was charged with DUI I lost my job because I need a license to work so the blood test came back and it showed I got a .05 and I received a new license. When I went to court the D.A. was offering a wet reckless and I was going to accept but the judge suggested I speak to a public defender. He was filling in for the public defender that was usually there and he said they could get me dry reckless and I said ok but I had to come back. So I went back yesterday and the new public defender told me she didnt know if she would be able to get dry reckless and she told me I should just go for wet reckless. I didnt feel like if she was on my side or just trying to get me out of the way. So I wanna know if i need a lawyer or if I couls get dry reckless

The accident is what you should be worried about. You should look into hiring an attorney. But get a free consultation first! Elliot Zarabi www.FreeCriminalConsultation.com 213-612-7720

You need a lawyer you can trust. If you are over 21 then you are not guilty of VC 23152(b) and not likely guilty of any alcohol related DUI charges. At most it sounds like this is a "Dry Reckless." I would need more information but do not take a "Wet" Look to the California DUI lawyers association for help finding a good attonrey.

Sometimes an accident is just an accident, especially with a .05 BAC. Contact an experienced DUI attorney in your area before you go back to court.

If you have a legal problem, which you do, you should always consult with an attorney. There is no guarantee that hiring a DUI/ criminal defense attorney will get you the results that you want (wet reckless) but it will usually give you the best chance.

Is this in front of Judge Brougham in dept 7? As a former LA Deputy District Attorney, the DA's policy is simple with regards to so-called DUI cases under .08% -- Get the highest charge possible without going to trial. They are asking for a wet because it is priorable just the same as a DUI. It's a DUI in every sense of the word. It is a horrible deal. I would not accept a wet under any circumstances, and I might not accept a dry either. Be sure to get a quick civil compromise on the accident to get that out of the way, then try for an alternate plea agreement. Call me to discuss further - 310-935-3100.
