I have been married for 10 year and my wife never had a job and been depressed for last 8 year and now she is having a affair and wants divorce and alimony.I make 50K year will that effect alimony.

No, affairs do not affect alimony. California is a no fault divorce state.

California is a "no fault" state, and her affair has no bearing on her rights under the Family Code. Were she to live with him, on the other hand, you might have an argument for reduced need for support -- depending upon what he earns.

No, her affair will not affect the alimony. However, because she has not had a job during your entire marriage and since you supported her, she has a decent argument for getting alimony from you.
