Is it illegal to keep a pet squirrel in georgia

I agree that a licensed wildlife rehabilitator is a good way to go for squirrels. But to answer your question on the lawfulness of a pet squirrel in GA ... it would seem to be lawful if you could get a permit from the state. Apparently, squirrels are considered game animal in Georgia and keeping game animals as pets without first obtaining a game-holding license is just as apparently unlawful.
