Hello, I am currently on F1 visa. I would like to know if I need to keep my student visa when my green card application is pending, I applied for green card through I-130, Petition for Alien Relative (My 21 years old daughter as a petitioner).
If you filed an I-485 application for adjustment of status, then you would have pending adjustment status, and you would no longer need to attend school, if you wanted to stop attending.
Speak with an immigration attorney for advise on this matter.
It is always best to maintain status. USCIS does make mistakes from time to time, and you severely limit your options if that happens and you did not maintain status.
