My ex hit and abused me for over a year. The day I got arrested I was trying to leave her place. She was starting into me again so I decided to get all my stuff and leave FOR GOOD! She psychically kept me from doing so. She hit me, pulled me by the hair, threw me around and pined me to the ground till I hyperventilated. Hit me WHILE I was hyperventilating! I did't hit her back. I restrained her. She bit me, wouldn't let go, I bit back.Stuff got broken, hers and mine She called the cops and told them I was going crazy. I sat in the back yard crying and just waited for them. I knew they would believe her that I was the attacker. Im much bigger than her. They took pics of her none of me. they took me to jail, i did 5 days. we are both female. chargers were droped. she got a restraing order

The police arrest whoever appears to be the primary agressor. Sometimes they get it wrong in hindsight. You can sue your ex if you were injured. You should fight the domestic violence restraining order.

Stop admitting key facts of your case on public forums such as avvo and hire the best locally experienced criminal defense attorney you can afford.

Hire an excellent criminal lawyer and start gathering evidence. Be frank with your lawyer about any past incidents. Anticipate the allegations and collect evidence to rebut them. Stop talking to third parties - including families. Have all communications go through your legal counsel.
