What are the chances to switch from a J1 to a H3 visa?

i have been living in Nola for 11 months now, i am here on a training visa, J1. I have learned a lot, but the company in which i am completing my training has much more to offer, and i feel like i would be missing a huge part of what i could learn , if i have to leave in 2 months ( expiration date of my j1 visa). What are the chances of getting my j1 visa switched to an H3 visa, without having to leave the country? any other way i could extend my training period? should i ask assistance from a lawyer to apply to an h3?
