Im a notary for the state of new york and work for 4 owners. I agreed in the beginning of my employment that to each owner it will be free. But any other signature other than the owners they would have to pay in accordance to the NY State Law. They looked at me as if i was crazy? What should i do?

There is nothing illegal in their request. FYI a notary charges a fee for their own clients. I am a notary in NYS as are several my bank's officers. NONE of them (including me) charge a customer or client for notarizing documents provided to us by our employer. One suggestion I have is to ask the employer to pay your renewal fee (mine did).
