My husband, me and our neighbor are being stalked by an ex girlfriend of my neighbor. She calls and leaves tons of mean and nasty messages. Has called the Sheriff out and made false acusations against my husband. Follows my neighbor in the car to see where he is going. Need to make this stop How do we go about getting that order and can we do it on line.

You cannot obtain an order online. Any adult that is seeking protection must personally appear before a judge or justice of the peace to request a court order. If there is no familial relationship between yourself (petitioner) and the individual you seek to restrict (respondent), then you would seek an Injunction Against Harassment. If there has been a relationship of a sexual nature or if it is a relative, you would seek an Order of Protection. You will need to fill out forms at a City Court, Justice Court, or Superior Court, and then proceed through a basic hearing in order to obtain the court order. Once obtained, the court order MUST BE SERVED upon the respondent before it goes into effect.
