I'm in U.S on a L1B visa, I attended an interview with a different company who were looking for a to fill a position with my skills. They have offered me the job. But as the H1B quota is over, Can the company that hired me apply for a Green Card ? Also, Is it legal to attend an interview with a different company while on L1B visa ?

More information is needed, such as how long you have been in L-1B status, an offered job title and job responsibilities for H-1B qualification, in-depth evaluation of your credentials to determine the category of employment-based immigration petition, etc. Meet with an immigration attorney to have a good understanding of your options.

Yes, but it will be years before you are authorized to work based on a green card petition. You should retain an experienced immigration lawyer, whether myself or one of my colleagues, to review all the facts, advise you, and handle the case.
