I like to leave the car running when I go into the gas station because I am only a few minutes. I am able to take my keys out of the ignition and lock all the doors so in my mind my car is safe and cool but i was confronted by a sheriff deputy that asked me if I was aware that there was a $180.00 fee including a misdemeanor and 4 points on my license for leaving my car running unattended and i didn't bother to ask any questions and i was free to go with the knowledge. Is it true?
