Can I fight this ticket & insurance co? Even if mutually at fault, other driver deserves some blame but report leans to me only.

I was turning left from a parking lot across one lane of northbound traffic. Two northbound cars had stopped for the red light and left room for me to inch out and check for traffic approaching in the south bound lanes. The other vehicle tried to catch the green turn arrow by passing the two stopped cars on the left using the turn only lane. This lane turned into a diagonal yellow painted median and eventually became the left turn only lane at the intersection. Accident occurred in the pained median. She improperly passed using a turn lane and violated the painted median that lead to the crash yet I was cited for not yielding. I looked both ways and slowly turned out, she flew up from around the cars as I was already beginning to turn.
I would talk to a local attorney that handles traffic tickets to find out the likelihood that you could successfully fight this ticket. An independent witness would help you out in this case if you could locate one. It appears that you may be better off submitting this through your own insurance company and let them battle it out with the other driver’s insurance.
Good luck.
Did you submit the claim to your insurance company? If not, you should so that tey can conduct a liability investigation to answer some questions!
Good luck!
Go to the scene of the accident and take photographs (Be careful. Don't get hit by a car while you are taking photographs). Try to take a number of photos from different angles. Show the painted middle lane with diagonal painted lines. Show the left turn lane. Show the parking lot exit from where you were coming. You will need evidence like this to demonstrate that the car that struck you had to be in a non-traveling lane in order to hit your car.
Without photos I think you have little chance of winning if you fight the ticket.
But with the photos, if you are credible and convincing, you would have a good chance of demonstrating that the other driver was the one at fault.

I advise all my clients to fight every ticket.
I'm sorry, but my firm does not handle tickets, only serious accidents.
Good luck.
