No criminal record but arrested and fingerprinted 15 years ago in Washington State. What will show up if I take fingerprint?

Hi, I have No criminal record but was arrested, fingerprinted and photographed for a shoplifting 15 years ago. I paid the fine 4 times higher than the original amount but it was under $600. My case was dismissed without charge/ prejudice. Here are my questions. 1. No criminal record means I was not convicted? 2. What will show up when I take live fingerprint for medical/healthcare license? 3.. Can I seal or expunge any record (including court, arrest record) of my shoplifting incidence?' Any advice/help is appreciated. Thank you.

The background check for medical/healthcare licenses noramlly detect arrests. If you were on some sort of SOC or diversion program that resulted in a dismissal the arrest record may or may not be eligible to be deleted from your record depending on wether the only reason the case was dismissed was because of the fine

1. No criminal record means I was not convicted? Yes. You have no convictions. 2. What will show up when I take live fingerprint for medical/healthcare license? Yes. The arrest and the initial charge will usually show during a background check. 3. Can I seal or expunge any record (including court, arrest record) of my shoplifting incidence?' You may obtain a certified criminal court disposition at the clerk's office and the rap sheet (criminal history record) from the arresting agency and then consult with a local criminal defense attorney for a Petition to seal/expunge the arrest record, which if successfully granted may take several months to complete.
