While I was putting my kids in a cart, my back was facing the doors. I was bumped two times by a long line of carts the cart attendant was bringing them in the front. I reported to the manager, and filed a guest incident report. Unfortunate it Friday after noon, Cooperate won’t call me till the following week to ask me questions. I feel pain/tense feeling on my upper back and lower back. Should I go to a doctor?

Yes. The longer you wait, the more difficult to prove legal causation. Don't talk to the store or insurance people. Get medical attention and if you are hurt, hire a local personal injury lawyer. Check www.tbls.org.

Yes, see a doctor. It sounds like you were injured. Take care of your health. You also should get a free consultation from an experienced trial lawyer ASAP. Accidents like this are very difficult to prove. Texas recognizes two types of premises cases. One is where a condition like a spill that exists on the premises that the owner should have cleaned up or fixed that caused your accident. The second type is called "negligent activity" Your facts fit this type, where an employee negligently hurt you. It sounds like you were a customer, but it may be your word against theirs. Don't delay as there may be security video could "disappear". Good luck to you

It seems to me that whether or not you need to see a doctor is not at all a legal question. If you feel badly enough that you think you need medical attention, by all means go to a doctor. In my view, however, you should not do it based on any perceived advantage it might afford you in a claim for money damages. I certainly agree with the other responding lawyers that you should promptly consult a plaintiffs' personal injury lawyer in the Rio Grande Valley area. A good resource for this is the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. A link to the Board's website appears below. I suggest you start by searching for a Brownsville Personal Injury Trial specialist. Good luck. www.tbls.org
