In Pennsylvania, charges remain on your record until you file a petition to expunge and then forward copies of the expungement order to the appropriate government agencies and departments. While you would think that dismissed or withdrawn charges are removed from the records, but they simply are not. Instead, the records would note that the charges have been dismissed or withdrawn, but the records would still exist. An expungement is defined as the destruction of the government records. For more info about expungements, click on my link below. I recommend contacting an expungement lawyer in your area to take care of this process. I wouldn't want a prospective employer to see that I was even charged with an offense.

After you successfully complete the ARD, your criminal record will be expunged. However, the DUI will remain on your driving record for 10 years.
In some cases, the York DA's Office will reinstate charges that were withdrawn at the preliminary hearing. It is their discretion to do so. Not much you can do about it, especially if you don't have a lawyer.
If you fail to successfully complete the ARD Program, the drug charges can be reinstated by the DA's office and those charges will carry an additional period of probation / license suspension if convicted.
