If we share joint legal custody of our daughter but I have physical custody, can he make doctor's appointments for her?

My ex and I share joint legal custody of our 5 month old daughter, while I have physical custody and he has parenting time. Can he make doctor's appointments (not emergency doctor's appointments) for her during his parenting time?
Yes. He is the child's father and has legal custody of her so he can and should make doctor appointments and any other parental duties. So should you. As your daughter is only 5 months old, now would be a good time to work on getting along for her sake so she doesn't have to feel she must choose sides when she is older. The child needs both parents active in her life. Congratulations on your baby girl and I wish you all luck!
Yes. Joint custody entitles both parents to have control over medical,
educational, religious, and other "life" issues of the child.
The two of you are duty bound to communicate all such appointments with
each other - that helps the two of you but more importantly it helps the
child.
Good luck
