I need to speak with someone regarding a divorce mediation in the Denver area. Is a little or no cost resource available?

I have honored all requests but recently received a witness disclosure and pattern and non pattern interrogatories. How do I answer the interrogatories and how do I submit my questions?

As far as divorce mediators, there are numerous mediators both in and out of the courthouses. However, I do not know any who are free. Normally they run from $120-$200/hour with the hourly rate split evenly between the parties. None of us can advise you how to answer the interrogatories - other than truthfully - when we can not see the interrogatories to see if they are asking for appropriate information or not.

You are asking questions about three different matters. One is how to respond to discovery requests ( patterns and non-pattern interrogatories. The second is what to do about the deadlines for witness disclosures. Third, you are asking about mediation. It sounds like you are pretty overwhelmed with the process of representing yourself. If you qualify, you can seek representation through Metro Volunteer Lawyers or Colorado Legal Services. At the very least, you might schedule an appointment for a consultation with us or with one of the attorneys who answers your question. My associate, Laura Monty and I are both trained mediators. As a younger attorney, her hourly rate is less than mine. If you would like to discuss mediation, please give us a call. I AM PUTTING THIS IN BOLD TYPE - WE CANNOT CONSULT WITH YOU OR REPRESENT YOU AND SERVE AS MEDIATOR AT THE SAME TIME. You have to decide what role you would want our firm to play. Good luck to you.

My colleagues Mr. Leroi and Mr. Littman are fabulous attorneys with great experience as mediators. You would do well to hire one of them to mediate your case. As for the merits of the case, and how to answer interrogatories, etc., no one on a message board can tall you how to do that. You need the assistance of an experienced family law practitioner. My colleagues certainly qualify, as do the attorneys in my firm. Let any of us know if we can help. Best of luck!
