I just had a mediation meeting with the eeoc mediatior and ex-employer and could not settle on 10,000 which i asked for and now a week later the emplyers attorney called me today wanting to settle for 6,000. Should i settle for 6,000 or go all the way and sue the employer?

No one here can know the answer to that question. It depends on the strength of your case, the degree of your damages and losses, your financial and psychological stamina for continuing, and many hundreds of other factors that no one here can know or learn. Talk with your attorney. If you don't have one, you should get one, even if only for purposes of performing an assessment of the value of your case.

I completely agree with Ms. McCall. It's a very individualized assessment. You need to speak to an attorney. -Alex J. Higgins [email protected]
