it was early morning at least 3am a friend sold less than a oz of weed to a person in his car in a neighborhood that was in a school zone. officer came up behind them and he drove off. 1st I don't understand the criminal trespassing part if he's in a neigborhood and he's in his car. 2nd the officer had no proof that the person was a minor due to the fact that the other guy ran off. So my question is, is there chance of beating this case and if not what's the longest jail time sentencing?

Each of these misdemeanor offenses carries a maximum sentence of 12 months in jail. Whether you can "beat" this case really depends on the evidence that the State has to use against you. Both criminal trespass and contributing to the delinquency of a minor have specific elements that need to be proven beyond a reasonable doubt; only a lawyer who has examined all of the evidence agent you can give you an intelligent opinion as to whether you can "beat" this case.
