It probably will be worth your while to spend a little bit of money on an attorney. To protect your financial future, it's a very smart investment. When you say you can't afford to hire an attorney, the question is whether you can afford not do. Johnson and Pham is an actual law firm and it's possible (though I don't think likely in your case) but it's possible they can take further action which would put you at a huge disadvantage.

Johnson & Pham don't bluff. I've defended several claims of theirs, and I've seen their demand letters and their complaints, both filed, and ready to file against the defendants who have sold counterfeits of their client's products. If you want to stay in this country and you care about your credit rating, their client's claim can be negotiated down to something you can afford, with a lawyer's help. As my colleagues note, your inability to pay is irrelevant, as is whether you knew what you were doing was illegal. The only thing that matters is that you trafficked in counterfeit products and violated their client's rights.
