i was driving in downtown rochester ny 11am. i was driving up to a intersection with my single light on to turn left(NOT AWARE U COULDNT MAKE A LEFT BETWEEN 6AM-6PM) a officer was at the intersection and started to blow a whistle and wave his arms(HIS DEFENSIVE TOLD ME WAS TRYING TO GET ME NOT TO TURN LEFT BEFORE I DID) I lost focus before i turned though and seen him doing that. My defensive ( HE STARTED TO BLOW HIS WHISTLE AND WAVE HIS ARMS TO ME LOOKED LIKE HE WAS TELLING ME TO TURN LEFT) do i have a good chance at pretty much saying i thought he was telling me turn left wen he did those actions. or no becuz my single light was on to go left? tickted for turning left wen nt suppose to and unlicensed operator.

As a good rule of thumb always start off pleading NOT GUILTY. Whether they can prove that you understood the directions as "given" is another story. Debatable but with the sign up as further proof is may be confusing under the circumstances. I would consult with a Rochester Lawyer, my contact is Lorenzo Napolitano, a great guy (585) 325-4445 or [email protected] The unlicensed operator is pretty much "were you or were you not licensed at the time of the stop. Lorenzo can probably get it all negotiated for you.

Plead not guilty and fight it or try to get them reduced with a plea bargain.

It's a fair argument so plead not guilty and try and explain it this way. Joseph A. Lo Piccolo, Esq. Immediate Past President, Criminal Courts Bar Association 11'-12' Hession Bekoff & Lo Piccolo 1103 Stewart Ave, Suite 200 Garden City, NY 11530 516-408-3666 (o) / 516-408-3833 (f) [email protected]
