I was given a misdemeanor citation in grifith park ca. for being at the park too late after attending a concert at the greek theatre. What should i do to get dismissed or reduced i do not want conviction on my record. It feels ridiculous.

First of all you comply with the citation by going to court at the time and place indicated. Many times on petty charges like this the DA will not prosecute but if he decides to the next step is to get an attorney. If you qualify, that is if you are not too rich, you can use the PD. You should be able to get out of this one as the other alternative, trying the case, is a waste of everyone's time and money. There are programs you can get into which keep this off your record. Your PD can best advise as to which you qualify for.
