Disregarding traffic signal ticket. Running a red light

I was wondering what to do in court? Should I just plead guilty or no contest? I don't want to fight it. I just want to see if they will reduce it. The cop that stopped me said he would help me out with it. It is my first offence and I've never been in trouble with the law before.

Please clarify your question, did you miss a court date? Why would you think that you would be charged with a misdemeanor? Before you are convicted of the ticket (or of not answering the ticket) there is no affect on you. You could also hire a local attorney to go to the court for you. Good luck
