I went for my Naturalization Interview yesterday and it didn't go well! The officer asked me if I had ever voted and I said " I think so but it was only in a local or state election". She then asked me again if I know for sure if I voted and I said " To be honest I really don't remember" She asked this question several times and I kept telling her " I honestly don't remember". She then asked if I had ever filled out a voter reg. card and I said " no, I don't even know where to get one". After the interview I called my wife and asked her if I was reg. to vote and she said yes, I made you fill out a card last year but you didn't check the "Are you a US citizen box" so I did and sent it in for you. I went to the elections board and had my card pulled only to find out that I had voted 3 times!

Hire a lawyer. Now. Yes you can be removed from the U.S. for voting in the elections.

I agree with my colleague. Hire an attorney. Voting without authority to do so is illegal. Additionally, hiring an immigration attorney is prudent always and would have likely saved you from such a serious situation.

I agree with my colleagues, participating in election without being a US citizen is illegal. You should speak with an attorney immediately.

I must agree with my colleagues, that is a violation of US law. However, a compatent attorney may be able to help you in an appeal. Our firm has represented client's who have voted before they became citizen and have gotten their US citizenship. Good Luck Ammar Alo, Esq. Toledo, OH www.AloLegal.com
