Does the % in Ostler-Smith order also depend on CP's income? Can the bonuses of the CP be considered for support calculation?

When the NCP's bonus and additional income are considered for Child and Spousal support, the CP's additional sources of income should also be considered, right?

The support calculation software DissoMaster has an option for a two-way Smith-Ostler bonus calculator. It creates a table where you compare the two bonuses and it says who pays how much to whom. Try to get that table incorporated into any support orders. Hire an attorney, if you have not already done so.

Both parties' bonuses and additional non-wage income should be considered. The attorneys above are correct. A court is not required to deal with bonuses in this way, however, and the court could include bonus income with regular income to get a different guideline support number. Which method is the most fair and accurate depends on what kind of bonuses you and the other party are eligible to receive. Have an attorney look at all the facts and give you different options to figure out what works best.
