Both counsel gave you oustanding answers, in my state it is one additional year tacked onto whatever it is you were a fugtitive from, and any parole/probation or suspended time you may have hanging over your head. be careful and try and retain counsel
Depending on the level of parole supervision, you may be or there may already be a warrant for a new felony escape charge. By way of example, a person on intensive supervised parole can be charged with a Class 3 Felony Escape for absconding or leaving the state. In this example the person could serve the remainder of the parole period plus a new prison sentence, served consecutively, for the escape.
You need - no doubt about the need - to retain a good defense attorney. I wish you the best of luck.
You look at the charge you were on parole for and the length of sentence you were serving in prison to determine any penalty for violating parole by failing to honor the conditions of your parole (by reporting, etc.). The smartest thing you can do is contact a good criminal defense attorney and talk to him or her about your status and what you were on parole for to get an idea of what you are looking at. Good luck.
