Is my misdemeanor theft <$500 conviction sealed with an SES and an early termination of probation?

I plead guilty to 2 counts theft <$500 1 yr ago. My probation has been terminated 1yr, 3 months early. I received a suspended execution of sentence on both counts. I'd like to have my record sealed or expunged. I found info that says my record is automatically sealed however when applying for employment they can see the criminal history. Employer stated if my record can be sealed or expunged, I would be hired.

You can't get your record sealed or expunged for misdemeanor theft in Missouri. Missouri only allows for the expungement of some felony and misdemeanor criminal records. The felonies must be over twenty years old and misdemeanors ten years old with no other criminal offenses (excluding traffic) committed during those time periods. Here is a rough list of crimes which may be expunged: Felonies and Misdemeanors: •Passing a bad check •Fraudulently stopping payment of an instrument •fraudulent use of a credit device or debit device Misdemeanors only: •Negligent setting of a fire •Tampering in the second degree (joyriding among other things) •Property damage •Trespass •Gambling •Peace disturbance •Drunkeness/Drinking in schools, churches and courthouses I hope this helps. Good Luck!
