What if I visit the US on my B1/B2 visa, and apply for asylum and it gets denied, will my B1/B2 visa be void?

If my visa becomes void will it have any affect on my spouse's visa?

If you don't have a legitimate reason to seek asylum in the US, you simply should not do it. You cannot leave the US while your asylum case is pending and your tourist visa will likely expire during that period. Asylum petitions have a very lengthy process. You need to speak with an immigration attorney who handles asylums to give you the full picture on the consequences of filing a fraudulent asylum petition.

I agree as well. Please note that asylum applications take a long time to adjudicate. If unsuccessful, they often convert to removal proceedings and could result in a lifetime prohibition from returning to the US due to loss of visa and potential for a fraud as well as unlawful presence bars.
