In the state of Kansas, can I get married without an officiant or can the officiant sign without a ceremony or groom present?

The Groom is in the military and cannot be present but would be willing to do a ceremony over the phone if necessary. I have already applied for the marriage license. I just need an officiant signature. Is a proxy marriage legal in Kansas? If so, what are the requirements for that?

Kansas is but one of a handful of states that allows proxy marriages. See http://www.weddingvendors.com/marriage-license-laws/united-states/kansas/
