I have 14 years experience in the industry (current business trades ). I have owned a succesful business in the uk for 6 years trading at equivalent of $264k a year employing 5 staff, I hold highly skilled qualifications above the average in the industry and intend to start an apprenticeship scheme for young adults. would this increase the chances of the E2 qualifying on such a low investment. I have 2 job offers from us companies to sponsor EB2 but cannot proceed due to partner (DOMA) E2 is only viable option any advice would be greatly recieved.

$20K will likely result is USCIS stating the investment is marginal. You should retain an experienced immigration lawyer, whether myself or one of my colleagues, to review all the facts, advise you, and handle the case.

I'm not an immigration lawyer, but the immigration lawyer that I work with when i help foreign clients with their business matters says that $100,000 or more is a typical investment amount.
