If I have joint physical custody (55% with mother and 45% of time with me) can I file for child support against her?

Ex wife and I share custody (45% of time with me, 55% with her). She is asking for child support, I am self employed and according to docs she makes more money than I do. Since she filed on me - can I in turn ask her for child support? Her atty requested an emergency hearing for child support due to the fact that her rent was behind $1250 (which is exactly the amount they asked for). Judge denied the claim and set a trial date.

Child support is based on your income her income and the time spent with the child. You might owe her money, she might owe you money. Just depends on the figures. Look up child support calculator California and toy with the program.
