She was pulled over for being on the wrong side of the road on a rotary. Does she have any reason to try to fight it or just try for Wet reckless. They also suspended her liscence in NH. Does that mean her liscence is suspended in MA where she lives. It was last Thursday and she has not gotten any correspondence from NH as of yet. Thanks for your help.
Because her case was in NH, you should change where you posted this to NH for some of your questions.
As to the suspension in MA: yes, her license is suspended in MA and any disposition will affect her driving record in MA. She should NOT be driving a car--driving after a suspension for OUI carries severe consequences under MA law. Although she may not have received notification in the mail yet from MA, they are immediately notified of OUI charges by the other state.
If you need assistance in MA, please let me know.
I would have to read the police report to give a more precise answer. However, know that there are always motions to file in DUI cases. As for her license, by operation of law it should also be suspended in MA. It may take the RMV here in MA a few weeks to issue a letter notifying her of this, but it will inevitably happen.
Your daughter should consult with a DUI attorney. Usually the first meeting is free of charge.
