How can I find out if I have an outstanding warrant in Washington state?

2 views 4 answers
I'm a Canadian and live in British Columbia, but 4 years ago I was involved in a car accident in Whatcom county. I had 1 beer that day, but the cop was making a lot of noise about DUIs. I fled the hospital in the night. At the time no one knew who i was, but the hospital found me to send me the bill. I now want to return to Washington to visit family, and I think I'm safe but am not willing to just cross the border and hope for the best. How can I be sure that I don't, or do, have an outstanding arrest warrant?

Call me and I can run a check through a state database to see if you have a criminal charge pending and if there is a warrant.

An experienced criminal defense attorney will be able to assist you in checking for active warrants. You will want to check this before you attempt to cross the border. Otherwise, you risk being taken into custody at the border crossing.
