What is the typical sentence for a first time DUI in Modesto?

I was arrested for a first time DUI in Modesto and both breath tests were 0.10. No accident or bad driving. What is the typical sentence for this and is there a chance they'll reduce it to a wet reckless, and if so, what is the sentence for a wet reckless.

Wet reckless is a thing of the past with a .10. Wey reckless still would count against future dui as a second offense. First offense can be up to 1900 dollars with assesments.

You are looking at a 3 month class, MADD class, and about 1600 in fees and fines. The terms of the wet will depend on the prosecutor as there is more flexibility. If you want a wet you will need to hire an attorney and I am not sure how much the wet will help if you lost the DMV action. Talk to a local attorney. Robert Driessen

Typically the fine is reduced to $750 for a "wet reckless" in Stanislaus County (that is reduced by a little more than half). If you were just arrested, you will still have time to ask for a DMV hearing. Requesting a DMV hearing has multiple benefits, which include delaying the suspension date of your driver's license and it allows you to get a copy of the police report before you have gone to court. You can talk about those issues when you speak with your lawyer.
