I disagree with your other answers. Sorry. This is a real problem. Your 18 year old is still considered a minor until he reaches 19 if he will graduate from high school during that 19th year. I read that he is still in school so you will need to evaluate the situation of your parental obligation from that standpoint. Your 16 year old is a different story also. If she does not want to pursue child support you, yourself can apply for benefits for your grandchildren from the state. Then the state will force her to pursue the biological father legally to recoup their money. It would be easier to say call the State Attorney and ask how you can swear out a warrant for unruly children. You can also file a dependency action as the grandmother and show that there is no biological parent available to care for the grandchildren and therefore they are "dependent" in need of services from the State to either reunite with their parents or have their parents rights terminated. If you do that dependency action for reunification services or if you terminate your daughters rights to the children then you can pursue to child support in your name as a relative care giver appointed by the court. I hope this helps. There are no simple answers.

The 18 year old is easy. He is a legal adult. You can evict him like you could any other tenant. The 16 year old is difficult. If he is your child then you are responsible for caring for him and likely cannot evict him simply for being unruly.

You can evict your 18 year old if he agreed to pay rent, because then he is your tenant. If he is not your tenant you can get him out with an unlawful detainer action pursuant to Florida Statute 82. However, I question how well that will work, if you put him out and then your other children let him back in. You are responsible for the 16 year old. I think there may be other professional better able to help you than lawyers, perhaps social workers, school counselors.
