Defending Yourself against a False statements and request for Restraining Order or Protective Order in California

3 views 1 answers
My spouse of 25 yrs-had an affair for 3 ms over a year ago- 6 ms ago he received a threatening email from the women that he was not to participate in any mutual club activities- today at his work, received a 5 page email stating that he has been stalking her in the evenings, following her to the store in our local area, accusing him of breaking into her home, and stated that she was getting a restraining order against him. The affair part was true. All the other parts are not- we go to counseling, we have been together in the evenings and on weekends with our family. I am unsure what to do about this and how to get this harrassment to stop. We have blocked all our emails- we cancelled memberships to clubs we enjoyed... we are at our end rope.

My suggestion is to seek a restraining order against this person. It sounds like they are harassing you. These can generally be handled by the persons seeking the restraining order, however, if you have any questions about the procedure, do not guess. Go consult with an attorney.
