Can my former employer hold my last pay check due to damages to a company vehicle?

My employment was terminated when someone broke into my home and stole the keys to a company vehicle. They took it for a joy ride and burned the vehicle. They claim I was unauthorized to drive that particular vehicle even though it was part of my job. Now they are holding my final pay check untill I pay the deductable of $2000.00. Is that legal in the state of Ohio
